SQUAW VALLEY TRIP - 3/27/2011

The Shredison Ski Team returned to Squaw for another SQUAWEsome adventure thanks once again to SKIDUCK, especially Clint L. and Dave W.!!!  Thanks for spending some quality time with us! We had several first timers that were ripping from the get-go beginning.  A few pics below, and HERE is the link to the rest.   A video should be very soon to follow!

Squaw Valley 3-13-2011 - Thanks to SkiDUCK!

Rocked Squaw Valley on Sunday March 13th to kick off Spring Break.  Despite our first "real winter" conditions & obstacles, we overcame and everyone had a blast!  Thanks so much to SkiDUCK, Squaw Valley, and Bogner for hooking us up.  Also major thanks to Dave W. and his volunteer crew, as well as the board-room rental guys for dealing with our rookie mistakes of leaving some boards up at High Camp...(sorry about that! won't happen again)

Last, but definitely not least, serious gratitude to the fine teachers and parental support that helped transport our restless and ready rippers - Atad, both Gonzalez's, Juarez, Morais, Schwartz and SHREDator Sr. - Mr. Cooper.  We couldn't have done it without you guys!  41 kids! Wow!  Also, now would be a good time to thank the other teachers that have helped move us on past trips - Frost and Maurin.  Thanks everybody for helping us out in a huge way! 

Update to the SHREDison High Ski Trips

So far we have gone to Squaw Valley twice, Kirkwood once, Tahoe Donner once (all because of SkiDUCK and Bear Valley.  Bear Valley was not an official SkiDUCK trip, but was only made possible because of a sizable donation from both SkiDUCK and the Stockton Fire Department's Benevolent Fund to help with all the expenses. Thank you Stockton Fire and Heaps of THANKS to SkiDUCK for making all our skiing and snowboarding trips possible!  Clint L. and the rest of the SkiDUCK Team are RADICAL for all their kindness and generosity!

We will post some pictures and some videos soon, but we are busy preparing for the last few trips of the season...

We are trying to get to all of the above resorts one more time before going to Squaw Valley for the last SkiDUCK day on April 23rd.

Thanks so much to SkiDUCK and all of the Resorts for their EPIC generosity.  Every one of our students is stoked beyond measure!

Here is one of our trips.  SkiDUCK has definitely been the primary supporter of our club, but unfortunately, several slight snafus (multiple lost cameras, minor injuries and somewhat disagreeable weather conditions) have prevented us from getting the best picture opportunities on their trips, so here are some from Bear Valley.

Respect to R.E.I. of Stockton!

R.E.I. of Stockton is rad.  They made a huge donation of some awesome gear to our club.  Pants, jackets, windbreakers, boots, you name it, they HOOKED IT UP!  And this ain't no third rate stuff, it was first class all the way!  Thanks for gearing us out, R.E.I.  Matt, Ashley and the rest of the crew - you guys are awesome!

Major PROPS and THANKS! to SkiDUCK.  They have been unbelievably & amazingly supportive in helping us get the Shredison High Ski and Snowboard Team on the slopes.  Check out the SkiDUCK website to find out more about how they are doing awesome things with disabled and underprivileged children and older kids & the Ski Industry.  We couldn't get our kids up there without their incredible support!  Go SkiDUCK!  Quuuuuuaaaaaaaaccccckkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!
